Does anyone else have trouble getting their dogs to go off the porch to use the bathroom when it's raining?

So you have your own early warning system! Mine waits until it is upon us to freak out.

Mine will go out in the rain but not when there is thunder. And if she is already outside when thunder sounds, she cries / yelps and runs like the wind to get back inside!
