Crate time
I just got a 9 week old corgi. We are crating her at night for potty training. We have had her a week now and from the first night she stayed in the crate all night until 5:30am and never whined and did not potty in her crate. I'm wondering if this is a health issue as it seems that is a long time to go in the crate for a puppy her age?

My dog Suki loves her crate! I leave her out and the crate door open when I'm home and she almost always chooses to go to her crate to take naps, chew on new toys, or savor her favorite treats. At night, she too knows the routine so I don't even have to tell her to go to her "spot". She just goes right in.

We do crate time for our dogs at night. They have a routine and go in there in their own when they know we are in the process of getting kids to bed.
