Curious to hear your routine for grooming your dogs. Do you do it yourself or professionally? How often do your brush? Any special products your recommend??

I find it to be well worth the money to use a professional groomer. They have the tools and the experience to do it efficiently. My dog hates any type of grooming so going to a professional makes it quicker and is less stressful for her. I do some minor grooming in between visits and brush as needed.
I don't have any grooming products that I'm in love with except for the FURminator. I do quite like the deshedding brush.

Well for me, we don't groom our dogs by ourselves but we have them professionally groomed during colder months. When summer comes, we shave the hair of our two Shih Tzus because we know that they get hot and it really helps them because they don't really move around during hot days when their hair is all grown and that's why we cut it down so that they don't get hot and they get more energized to move around again. During these times also we don't brush them and only during cold months and when their hair is grown.

We brush our dogs frequently and wash them once a month. I use a flea and tick collar which is really effective!
