Temporary Foster

Just wondering here if anyone voluntarily fosters rescue dogs on a temporary basis? If so, how do you manage this alongside your other work/family/pet commitments?

Joseph Solano

Yup! Many people voluntarily foster rescue dogs on a temporary basis. To manage fostering alongside other commitments, they often establish a schedule, coordinate with rescue organizations, and seek support from family members or friends to help with caregiving responsibilities. It requires careful planning and dedication, but the fulfillment of helping dogs in need makes it worth the effort.

I love the concept of fostering and think it is the most wonderful thing to do! I've always been too scared to because I know that I will fall inlove with it!!

That's my primary reason for not doing it also. I would get very attached. I also don't venture into that because I have several pets and I feel it wouldn't be fair to them. By fostering, I would be bringing in another personality / disposition that I'm not familiar with, possible parasites, and it would take some of the time and attention away from my other furry family members. I think those who can and do foster are such kind people. I admire their strength and dedication.
