Strong smell in urine
Hey! We have a denials Great Pyrenees/Akbash. She just turned a year and lately we have noticed her urine smell horrible. Like it’s making our yard smell BAD! She is properly hydrated. Any idea on why this is? Or what we can do to help the smell?

As above, a vet visit would be worthwhile incase she has a UTI or something like that. But unfortunately dog pee is just smelly... rinsing it away straight away is always a good idea, as is regularly disinfecting the area

Hi! Well if you've noticed a change in your dog's urine odor and it's having an impact on your yard's smell, it's best to take her to the veterinarian for an evaluation. This could be a sign of an underlying medical issue, such as a urinary tract infection or kidney problems. The veterinarian can conduct a physical exam, run diagnostic tests, and provide the appropriate treatment to help your dog feel better. In the meantime, make sure your dog is drinking plenty of clean water to stay hydrated and maintain good urinary health. It's also a good idea to clean up any urine spots in your yard promptly to reduce odor.
