Has anyone that has rescued ot adopted dogs had a pet with separation anxiety? I find that my rescues especially at the beginning seem sote anxious when they know we are going somewhere without them

Yes. My husky gets very anxious when I'm gone. She's gotten better as she has gotten older. When she was a pup and I was away even for a short time she would pull her hair out, mostly on her tail. She would do it even if other members of the household were still home. I have this great dog sitter now that keeps her busy and tends to her so well that she doesn't do it as much but even after a few days, she shows some signs of anxiety even with her.
