We might be bringing home a new puppy on Sunday! What are some things you would enforce from day one to encourage good habits? I'm going to be working on meal times, toilet training, and routine! Any thing else?

Correcting bad behavior quickly and consistently. Although some puppy behavior is cute, if you won't be ok with what they are doing as an adult, don't let them do it as a puppy. Jumping, chewing, getting on certain furniture, etc. Also, I'd get them used to whatever their sleeping arrangement will be and stick with it. If they will be kenneled, they will likely protest at first.
