Melanie and her favorite fur baby
Hi! I'm Melanie and I have a 12-year-old Yorkie. We just lost our Alsation/Husky/Border Collie and are now looking to find a breed with similar character traits to her! We are a very active family and would love a furry companion who loves to be out and about. I look forward to hearing about your experiences with different breeds

So sorry to hear about your loss! We have a Queensland Pit, he has so much energy and os always so busy. He love to have a job. His personality reminds me of my border collie we had growing up.

Hi there! My Yorkie is extremely spoilt and loves to be where the food is. He is really loyal and would be a perfect companion, especially for someone older. Your grandmother is making a great choice! Sorry to hear about your Bulldog. Somehow these animals become closer than family! But you're so lucky to still have a part of her and be able to watch Lucky grow up, how special!

Hi Melanie! I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your pup. I have several close friends that frequently go on outings and travel for longer periods of time. Their companions include a Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Lab, Golden Retriever, and Shih Tzu. The Golden Retriever also has a job as a calming companion at a dental office. The Lab and Golden Retriever would be my top picks of my friends' pets because those two seem to follow commands more consistently and are very loving toward me! Really it's hard to say because each dog, regardless of breed, has their own personality and their behavior depends a lot on their training and their human.
