I wouldn't recommend this because ice cubes in a dog's water bowl may lead to them choking on it. To be honest, I'm thinking of my French Bulldog right now because he forgets to chew his food sometimes and some with his water, he is always so aggressive and messy with his food. This is why I wouldn't put ice cubes in his water bowl personally huhu

The only time I have put ice in my dog's water is when it was really hot outside. But as this is a choking hazard, it may just be better to use very cold water instead if it's hot out. I used to also rub an ice block on my dog's belly when it was really hot - she loved it.
