How can I help my dog tolerate grooming and nail trimming?
Hi! So my dogs always get scared whenever we try to trim their nails and cut their hair and this is why we take them to groomers. On occasions, we groom them ourselves and whenever we do they don’t behave and they keep moving around. Is there any tips that you guys do to calm your dogs when you groom them yourselves?

I usually have help so one person can keep their attention away from what I'm doing, also having somewhere you can put your animal on a very short leash helps

I find that when I have to do something that my dog doesn't care for, sometimes putting peanut butter inside a hollowed bone or a toy with a cavity will help occupy and distract her for a bit. You could also try a new long lasting dog treat or chew toy.

Have you seen those videos where the owner wears a silicon swimming cap and smothers it with peanut butter? The dog then licks the owner's head while they are groomed. Haha! Definitely not the most traditional route but worth a try!
