Handshake Trick
Hi guys! Have you trained your dog to shake hands with you? I've been struggling to teach my dogs the handshake trick and I feel like they get confused with the high five trick because that's the one I taught them first and I can't seem to get the hang of it. Do you guys have any tips to recommend in teaching a dog the handshake trick>

Mine seemed to happen quite organically. I would put my hand out with my palm up and tap slightly on the back of her leg. As soon as she lifted their paw even slightly, I immediately rewarded her with praise and a treat. It's so important to reinforce the correct behavior in the beginning and use a term that they can associate with the action. We said "Paw".
