How do you keep fleas away?

Joseph Solano

Hi! So we had to deal with fleas for a very long time so here are some tips based on our experience with fleas. First, make sure your dog is on a regular flea preventative medication prescribed by your veterinarian. This can be in the form of a pill, topical treatment, or collar. Regular grooming is also important, as it can help you detect and remove any fleas on your dog's fur. Bathing your dog with a flea shampoo can also be effective in killing and preventing fleas. Finally, consider treating your yard and outdoor areas with flea control products. This can help prevent fleas from infesting your dog when they are outside.

You have to be consistent with fleas. Regular treatment to prevent them is the best thing to do. But, sometimes they do find a way in so then it's just a case of getting on top of it. Make sure you treat your home as well as the dog as they can lay dormant. When my dog caught fleas last year we managed to get rid of them fairly quickly with a nightly flea comb and I was also using natural remedies like sprays to keep them away

I use Frontline and put it down my dog's neck once a month and it keeps them away
