I'm curious, how have your dogs interacted with other animals? We are thinking about chickens but don't want to come home to feathers all over the garden!

Well I think it depends on the dog's behavior because mine are a mix of barking, being shy and not caring. for example, my one dog doesn't really mind other animals and typically ignores them, my other dog gets shy and hides from other animals, and my last one barks when he faces other animals. This is why I think that it really depends on the personality of your dog.

I'm sure there are some dogs that wouldn't pay any attention to a chicken but I think most dogs, especially medium to large dogs would end up following their hunter instinct. My dog grew up with cats in the house and she has never acted aggressive with them. She'll play with them but never has she went into hunter mode. However, when she is outside and a stray cat runs by, she perks up and will chase after them. I don't "think" she would hurt them if she caught them. Even though we train them to be civilized, at the end of the day, they are animals and will likely follow their animalistic impulses. I'm thinking you may find feathers in the garden.
