Comfort dogs
My dentist office has a comfort dog in the office. He is a Golden Retriever and quite possibly one of the sweetest, well-trained, most beautiful dogs I've ever met in my life. I have never experienced another business, medical or otherwise, that utilizes dogs for comfort / relieving anxieties for their customers / clients. Do you know of any businesses that have a comfort dog? If so, what is the business and what type of dog do they have?
Joseph Solano
Yes! There are various businesses and establishments that have implemented comfort dogs to help alleviate anxieties and provide support. Some examples include hospitals, nursing homes, schools, airports, and therapy centers. These dogs, often breeds like Golden Retrievers, Labradors, or specially trained therapy dogs, offer comfort, emotional support, and companionship to individuals in need of it.

I think it is a great idea. There are always those out there that will say it is unsanitary or a liability but I don't think that a dog is necessarily any more unsanitary or more of a liability than some humans out there. I hope my town starts to become more dog friendly.
