Bones
What is your opinion on giving dogs actual bones? Which bones do you give your dogs? Cooked or uncooked? The internet searches seem to predominately say that all bones are bad to give in any condition, cooked or raw. But then it seems that the searches also will say that the best food for a pet is what would they would eat in nature. Dogs are opportunists and scavengers by nature so they would eat a wide variety of things. This would include hunting other animals and they would consume their bones. Just curious where others stand on this issue.

I know from first hand experience never give a dog cooked chicken bones they can splinter and cut the dogs intestines from the inside

Chicken bones have never been a consideration for my dogs. I know some people do it but I just wouldn't risk it.

I've also heard really bad things about bones. We always used to just go to the butcher section of our grocery store and asked for a bone there. Our dogs loved them! No horror stories so far...
